What is it about Moveon that keeps every one talking about this stupid ad. The moment they used that title, they became a rumor rag and everything they have to say afterwards is discredited. It did not help Democrats who have legitimate concerns about the General's activities. It hurt them.

The police action in Iraq is not going well. Our military commanders do not understand the culture and are gullible. All tribes are preparing for the day that the U.S. leaves. They will never be like us or want the things that we want. We are not going to liek the way that this ends.

If any of that were true, the Dems would simply have to sit back and let things take their natural course; in fact, they would be helping the war, if it were so bad. In fact, they are desperately trying to get a negative outcome in Iraq. They have put all their eggs in that basket, and must now do everything they can to undermine any possibility of a positive outcome, which would be politically disastrous for them. What is good for the US and the world, is bad for the Dems. That should tell you all you need to know.
