    why is it that conservatives think the only way to deal with other countries is thru the use of force?

    we were able to 'stay ahead of the threat' from the soviet union for 70 years without going to war.

    crshedd: Well, obviously we don't think force is the only way to deal with other countries. Indeed, we have given more food, money and aid to foreign lands than any other nation on Earth.

    We tend to use force when enemy planes kill 1,100 servicemen on a sleepy Sunday at Pearl Harbor, when friendly nations are unjustly invaded by their neighbors, or when 21 terrorists commandeer domestic flights and kill 3,000 innocent civilians at their work-places.
