TSA Puts Secret Security Manual On-line
As far as Moore owning it, yes, he's a hypocrit, but should that really surprise anyone?
If that's the sole reason for them being granted no-bid status, how do you explain the decision by the Clinton Administration to grant them a no-bid status for work done in Bosnia?
Here's how. Halliburton hired Cheney as CEO because of his high-level political connections and his executive knowledge of the intracacies of defense contracting after being Secretary of Defense. It was through Cheney and his past experience in government that Halliburton was able to secure the position as the sole, no-bid contractor for various services for the military.
Now, there's nothing really wrong with that, it's just how things work in the military-industrial complex. Lots of generals are rewarded with positions on defense company boards in return for greasing the procurement process both while in uniform and out. And securing the contracts for services that will be needed in the unforseeable future streamlines the response and flexibility of the US government in deploying troops to foreign emergencies. Time isn't wasted in a bidding process. I'm sure the terms of what Halliburton is allowed to profit from these bids were agreed to in the agreement.
Anyway, just wanted to point out Dick Cheney had everything with Halliburton getting those no-bid contracts under Clinton. But also want to stress there's nothing particularly sinister. If Cheney cleaned up from his work, it's because there are only so many people in the country with the experience and connections to get HAL that huge government business over its competitors.
Halliburton had the same controversy during Veitnam. Here is some history on it:

Yes there is a Guy named Micheal Moore that own Halliburton stock.
Don't you mean Michael?
unfortunately for your misinformation campaign it is not the same Micheal Moore that you are talking about.
This story has already been retracted on page 13.
Link?
Typical neo-con corporatist tactic.
What?
By the way, not one of you know anything about being a Conservative or a republican. Your support of this reckless moron in office is ample proof of that.
Well that is a wonderful argument.

He made a statement on CSPAN.
I listen to KLAR and even Michael Medved made the statement that it turned out to be untrue.
The man went on TV and said again that he has never owned any stock what so ever and defies anyone to show otherwise.
I haven't looked for a source on the net but the guy would have to be insane to make this statement if he couldn't back it up
Secondm Schedule D is NOT a record of holdings it is a record of SALES. If you hold a stock from January to December of any year that stock WILL NEVER show up on Schedule D.
Ok, for the slow freepers out there who don't own stock and have never done their taxes let me repeat. Stocks ONLY show up on Schedule D when they are SOLD. Only 1040 Schedule A gets a tax payers signature.
Therefore, it is impossible for this form to be legitimate. It's not a matter of opinion it's not possible that you could find a signed Schdule D showing anyone holdings of any stock at any time. All you see on a Schedule D are sales and never over a signature.
Go to your local Post Office and check for yourself.
