Say Anything: Jordanians Rally Against Zarqawi, Al Qaeda

Thatedeguy · 4 years agoI love that this happened. Finally a bright spot for Muslims. Finally, someone other than the governments of these countries, whom I feel have massive amounts of political pressure from the U.S., has stood up to say "you don't represent us".

MikeAdamson · 4 years agoIf you read any of Stratfor's work you will learn that Al Qaeda's chief goal is to radicalise the Islamic world, overthrow the existing leadership and install a regime based on the tenets of their fundamentalist brand of Islam. The attack on 9/11 and the subsequent campaign of terror is meant to expose the West as weak in the face of committed Moslems and to eliminate the puppet regimes in Saudi Arabia, Jordan, iraq, etc. If Stratfor is right in this assessment then clearly Al Qaeda is losing because this demonstration is typical of the majority attitude to Al Qaeda. The average Moslem no more wants a fundamentalist regime than the average American does IMO.

The Politicker · 4 years agoat the Grand Hyatt, the Radisson SAS and the Days Inn hotels to the war in Iraq and called Amman the "backyard garden" for U.S. operations. Very spiffy. It's always nice to see when people recognize the destructive nature of people like Zarqawi. Via Say Anything
