Say Anything: Britain To Issue Carbon Credit Cards?

• Greg · 2 years ago
Umm, my all of my credit cards are made of carbon already. Hydrocarbons, noless.

Given that the human body is estimated to be roughly 23% carbon, I'm curious whose account gets "charged" when a person dies? And what about a murder? Or an abortion? Is the account of the former mother-to-be charged for 23% of the weight of the fetus, or is that amount of carbon charged to the account of the doctor performing the abortion?

This is an incredibly stupid idea, right up there with the ROHS nonsense. Ultimately, it will damage the economy of GB.

And the real agenda comes into fruition - control of the economy and travel.

Think of how much easier this will be when the cashless society is fully implemented.

Aren't you excited?

Security, convenience, and now saving the environment!

The proles will lap it up.

You say it is an agenda to take contol of the economy? How is a market in carbon trading going to do that? Did the creation of the options market "take control of the economy"?

People say this kind of stuff because global warming doesn't happen in front of their own eyes. The perfect gift for your global warming skeptic friends and family for this Christmas and beyond. :::[Global Cool Watch: Mug a Global Warming Skeptic]

Every single action in life produces a byproduct called carbon dioxide. When you start mandating limits on carbon dioxide and offering schemes on trading and buying "carbon credits", you're essentially taking control and setting limits on the economy.

Did the creation of the options market "take control of the economy"?

Stay on topic.

People say this kind of stuff because global warming doesn't happen in front of their own eyes.

No, we say this stuff because you act as if this subject is open and shut. You take it as a given that anthropological global warming is what is warming the earth up.

It's enough to make one pine for the first "earth day". Back then the cause célèbre was "global cooling".

Sounds a lot like Socialims to me. You don't EARN a carbon credit. Everyone is equal. Of course I'm sure that some will be more equal than others.

Like the rich people who can afford to buy carbon credits off the folks who walk to work.

Leaving the middle class squeezed out, right?

Clearly this is government control into how you live your life.

YOu have the right of free travel as long as your papers (or credit card) is in order.

It sure isn't; in fact, human-caused global warming isn't happening at all. It's a hoax.
