I thought we had been over the fact that the Southern Poverty Law Center was started by a group that actually PROMOTES racism as a way to stay in power over those they claim to defend... Just like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton...

I don't even know anything about the "Let's Take Back America" group and deportaliens.com. And, for that matter, I don't really know Vdare all that well. I was there once or twice and read a few articles. So they all could very well be somehow racist. The thing for you to do is to back up your claims. You think you could manage that without an insult? School went well. I got an A in my English Comp Class, and at least a B in my Math class. I don't have the result of the final for Math yet.
It was a great experience, though so very time consuming.
I don't think my English Professor appreciated some of my writing. After my Journal submission, she began to speak to me a great deal less! One of my journal entries was a post I made for this site. It was called "My Liberal College Professor", but I can't seem to find it now. In the post, I wrote about how she doesn't see marriage as a commitment, but more of a thing you do for the time you are with someone. between that and some of the other posts, some quite personal, I think I turned her off to me.
But I am glad to have a few free minutes to post again. It's good to see that not too much has changed in a month, though I feel like I have been away for years... Lost on some Island in the Pacific.

He didn't rise up to the challenge of simply backing up his assertions. And when he was called on that fact, he laughs hysterically. I don't know what Don's problem is, but I bet it is hard to pronounce.
The very fact that this group of volunteers has brought the problem of illegal immigration to the forefront, combined with Don Myersesque directors of the Border Patrol possibly considering telling agents to stop making arrests SO THE POSITIVE EFFECTS OF THE PROJECT ARE COVERED UP makes me feel like this is a success. Liberals thought this would be some flash-in-the-pan operation that conservatives would soon lose interest in, and are still obviously reeling over the reality that, not only do the volunteers have resolve, the AMERICAN PEOPLE have become involved.
Before this project, many who felt the numbers of illegal immigrants entering our country was becoming a problem on many levels that needed to be dealt with, but did not know how. This project not only serves an immediate enforcement purpose, but also acts as a rallying point for all those in favor of changing the law on illegal immigration to unify behind, ensuring that this grievance will be heard.
Don, I realize you would like nothing better than to see our borders open, so you can have a new poverty class to exploit while raising taxes on LEGITIMATE citizens like myself all in the name of government care. The fact is, in this new age of terrorism, we simply cannot cow tow to people like you, who would rather see another terrorist attack on America than make the poor little illegal (law-breaking) immigrant be able to come here, borrow money, get a drivers license, and apply for welfare while not even having to pay taxes. Someone has to draw the line and make people like you accountable for your actions. I am sick and fucking tired of liberals feeling the need to apologize and make amends for the success of our country. Don't get me wrong; I am all for making legal immigration a little easier. Anyway, Don: remember that Jonathan Chait New Republic article in 2004 (apologies if you don't read), where Chait charged that Bush was "less democratic" than previous presidents because he held less news conferences? Leftists everywhere were upset because "we the people" couldn't hold the government accountable because Bush was holding back information. Now you have an instance of the government not only holding back information but also with an INTENT to distort, and what do you do? Call the minutemen racist. SO LAME. I do acknowledge that perhaps you don't have a problem with Bush being "less democratic" so I could be attributing you a view that you don't hold. If so, I apologize.
Also, Don, what definition of "racist" and "white supremacist" are you using? If you could just define those terms for us, I think it would clarify a lot. I have a feeling you have some wacko leftist definition of racist like "only oppressors can be racist, not the oppressed." Again, maybe not. But at least define the terms you rely on so heavily.
Which brings me to my final point, namely, exploring why Don is having such a conniption fit about this issue. It is my hypothesis that Don, good liberal that he is, is going absolutely crazy because "racist" doesn't have the power it once held. Back in the 1990s someone could break out the racist-card and immediately silence another person. And so, it was used OVER AND OVER again until the word lost its silencing power.
