Say Anything: Banning Christ from the Public Square

    Once again, Neiman, I have to disagree with you on the assumption that soon we will see Christianity outlawed and priests imprisoned. I have more faith in the Millions of Christians in this country to rise up against this threat. The problem is that a lot of preachers are saying God is Love. God is not love. God is about faith and obedience to his commandments. If you don't repent, you're going to hell. Plain and simple.And following God's laws does not restrict your life. But, enriches it. Have faith. We shall overcome.

    Ollie: With respect ->

    We are told in prophecy that in the End Times many would be imprisoned and even killed for their faith in Christ. It is happening even today in The Peoples Republic of China, Cuba, Islamic countries and even Canada has sent Christian ministers to jail for preaching against homosexuality. So, please don't assume it cannot happen here!
God is not love.
Scripture tells us Love is His very Nature, it is the motivation for all Creation, for Christ's sacrifice, for Salvation: Because God seeks as many as will to love Him without compulsion that He might have many Children upon whom He might pour our His Love for all eternity.
following God's laws does not restrict your life
God's only Law for any Christian is the Law of Love: To Love God completely and to Love one another. As to the rest of the Commandments, we are free from the Law as regards our Salvation, either to earn or maintain that Salvation, we are saved by Grace alone.

    Why are those on the Left so intolerant and terrified of opposing views?

    What if books on Evilution are banned from these libraries to avoid offending Christians, is that okay with you?

    Why do you on the Left through the ACLU whine about a Nativity on the Public Square? Doesn't that make you whiners?

    Yeah, why are Christians such whiners?

    Christian books make ‘gays' feel inferior

    Oh, wait. Who is whining, again?

    I'm usually not one for censorship but I am for standards. And I have a hard time believing that anything put out about the lgbt community by the anti-gay industry or their allies belong in a public library without extreme scrutiny on its credibility.

    The anti-gay industry has a track record of relying bad research (Paul Cameron) or distorting legitimate research (i.e. Elizabeth Saewyc, Robert Spitzer, Patrick Letellier, Robert Garafalo, Carol Gilligan, Lisa Waldner, Joanne Hall, Francis Collins, etc. )

    And this track record of lies should not be ignored simply because the anti-gay industry was able to find enough guillible students and their parents to try and play a game of semantics.

    I don't think a book should be included in a library's selection simply because a group holds a press conference and sidesteps the issues of accuracy by appealing to emotions and religious beliefs

    When choosing books, libraries should always adhere to high standards and the highest of all of these are veracity, or truth.
